Love

We all know what love is. We all have experienced it. We know what it looks like and what it feels like. We know love of family, which is one of the deepest loves that we can experience. We love our wife or our husband, we love our children or parents, we love our grandparents, our aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces. We love our children, we see them as little babies and they grow up into children, adults and have families of there own, we love to see them succeed and have smiles of happiness on their faces. We all know that love. Most human being for the most part share that kind of love in some degree. But, as Christians, we realize that the love we share, the love we experience is because God is love. Our Creator is love. The very first words God has Moses record for all of humanity to see is "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." That is love. God's act of creation, is an act of love. Without creation, none of us would be here. God's decision to create human beings was a act of love. God's goal for the creation of human beings is shown in the final book of the Bible, although it is expressed throughout the Bible: Revelation 21: "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

God created, so that He could share His Majesty, Glory, Splendor with us. It is an amazing thing when we really thing about it, when we meditate on it. God, who was in perfect communion with each other of the Godhead ( The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit) out of perfect love He wants to create other being to share His Presence with forever and ever.

The extent that God went too, to ensure that He would have some to share this great wonder with, was expressed in the greatest act of love known to man. That Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Godhead, God Himself, would lay aside His Royal Position and take on a human nature, so He could pay the price of sin. That He would satisfy God Righteous Wrath against sin for His elect, ensuring there forgiven and gaining a right standing before God, so that at the last day - The Day of the Lord, they will be able to stand holy and blameless before the loving gaze of God.

The Bible is clear that all those who trust in Christ must love Christ. "Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible." (Ephesians 6:24)

It is so clear to see why we need to love Jesus Christ. When we read God's Word, we see that Jesus Christ is on each page. "And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself." (Luke 24:27) That's Jesus interpreting to them. That verse is talking about the Old Testament - which was the Scripture at that time. It is even more clearer to see that Jesus Christ is on each page of the New Testament.

God is calling us to understand what Christ has done, the Holy Spirit is working in us, so that we can understand what Jesus Christ has done for us. The tender mercies of God is evident throughout the whole Word of God. God is love. He is calling us with love, we taste love even now because our Creator will not allow darkness and evil to run its full course, His mighty hand of love will only allow it to go so far, now, today. There is an end, however. Those who do not want to love Christ, those who do not want to love their neighbor, those who refuse the tender mercies of God, will see that He's love is so Perfect, that He will separate those who love Christ, from those who do not.

That is love. People don't want to hear about hell anymore, preachers are afraid to preach about hell, Christians have become to sophisticated to hear about hell. Don't be deceived people are still going there, people are still being separated from the blessedness of God and being consumed by the cursedness of God. Don't get angry, when someone talks about hell, get right with Jesus Christ and you will not go there. Bow your spiritual knee to Jesus Christ and the New Heaven and the New Earth will be your eternal abode. Those are words of love. Jesus preaching on hell to the people in Galilee, Capernaum, and other places were words of warning, they are recorded in holy Scriptures as a warning to every generation that have lived since then.

Get the love of God in you. Love the Lord Jesus Christ, read His Word until, He is real to you, read and study His Word until you know His love, than you will be able to tell people about what Jesus Has done for them, and pray for them, love them, so that they can see the glory that awaits them. Pray for them so that the power of the glamour, and attractiveness of the world will be broken over them and they can experience true love, in Jesus Christ, and walk in the freedom of consecration to the God of Love. Hold each other up in prayer.
