Christ in the Gospel of Matthew IV

The Lord Jesus Christ performed many miracles while He was here on the earth. These miracles testify that He is God. They testify that He was the Messiah that the prophets wrote about. The Bible makes it plain that Jesus was God and man. That He took on a human nature and as a human we see Him tired, hungry, thirsty, and suffering all the things that we humans suffer. Because we are humans, Christ became a human.  We are the ones who have the problem. The fallen angels have a problem also, but God has chosen not to rescue them. But, we humans, He has chosen to rescue, that is why Christ took on a human nature, He so identifies with us, that He became one of us. The Bible says He suffered every temptation that we do, but with one important exception, He did not sin. Because He did not sin, not even once, for if He did just once, He could not have been a sacrifice for our sins, and He could not be the solution to our problem.

There is saving power in no other than the Lord Jesus Christ. The solution to our problem is found only in Him.  Scripture records multiple promises made by God, all of those problem are focused on one thing, the solution to our problem. Let me speak out the problem so we are sure what I'm talking about. The law demands death for the transgression of one sin. The death is an eternal death, and eternal separation from the savingly, lovingly, gracious presence of God. God presence will only be in His wrath. We have not experienced anything like that, there is nothing to compare it with. The worst that we experience here now, living on earth is gloriously compared to the wrath of God in hell. That's our problem. God's one solution to that problem is Jesus Christ.

Christ came to die on the cross so that we could enter into that eternal inheritance. We are to have our highest joy in Christ as we think about the love God has for us to go to the length He has to save us. Our safest and best place to be is in the LORD. We can have no true peace until we are in Him. God has fulfilled such graciousness toward us that our heart cannot help but overflow in thanksgiving and praise, and the best is yet to come. We are only experiencing a measure of the peace and joy in our Lord, because of our indwelling sin, yet our Lord loves us as much now as He will when we see Him face to face and the burden of sin is removed forever.

Be on guard against our enemies, Satan, the world, and the flesh. They always set ready to pounce, but we keep them at bay, by prayer, reading the Word, and gathering together to hear the Word preached to sing the Word in song, to share the Lord's supper together. And more importantly, we remain in the faith, and we do not fall away because Jesus Christ is always interceding for us. That is one of the greatest miracles, the Lord of Glory is praying that we do not fall, that we do not turn away, and He stays the hand of our enemies, so that they can only influence to a limit. We are save in His ever loving arms. If you are experiencing anything that is causing you turmoil, rush to Christ, make your pleads to Him, bring everything to Him, remember than He has already died for you, and that He is interceding for you. Let Him help you know.

Blessings!
