We need each other

The Christian life is not to be lived alone. Christianity is a religion of community. When we become a Christian we are lead to join together with other believers. Its as natural as breathing - we know that we should go to, join a local Church. Here are some Scriptures that reflect the truth of why we need each other, why the Church is important.

If i delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.  1 Timothy 3:15

The Church is the household of God, God's people meet there. It is the Church of the living God, it is the place where God's people come to worship the true and living God. The Church is about the truth. Anything that is not of the truth (the Word of God) should not presented as the truth.

In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:22

The Spirit is working Christ in us, we grow and help each other grow when we do those things that help us to grow; obey, pray, read, and when we encourage each others to do the same.

To equip the saints for the work of ministry for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.  Ephesians 4:12-13

Christians are equipped by Pastors for the work of ministry which is to build us up into unity, knowledge, maturity, and the fullness of Christ. We do this intimate personal time and reinforce it with reaching out to the world and especially to those who love Christ, we desire to reach what God wants us to become, and doing all we can to helps our brothers and sisters to get there with us.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

What could be more clear than that. Don't neglect to go to Church. We all are called to be encourager's, this verse says so, we all have the gift of encouragement - we all are to encourage each other. As each day passes we are closer and closer to the Day - Let us seek to encourage others. If you have done this you know the principle that God blesses those who bless others. We are encouraged in our efforts to encourage!!

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
That is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each others faith, both yours and mine.
Romans 1:12

Christians are a people called out of the world by God. They are a people with His Spirit residing in us and leading us through the ups and downs of our life, He leads you to go to a Church which stands on the truth. To hear the Word preached, to sing the Word, to see the Word in the Lord's Supper and to live the Word out in a community of believers, encouraging them to be the people that God has called them to be. That is Christlikeness
